What do I look for in homes?

Apart from those things that you visually may want to find in a home. Don’t just judge a home by it’s paint job or curb appeal. You need to look at the roof, the insulation, the plumbing. Getting a trusted home inspector will be worth the money. As your agent, we will help with all of those things.

Do I need a home warranty?

Yes. This will help protect you in case there are hidden problems with your home.

What should I expect at closing?

The keys aren’t yours yet. So this is the time to read your contracts carefully before signing. This again is one of those times that you need an agent that can help make sure this process is seamless. 

What is pre-approval?

Being pre-approved for a mortgage means that a mortgage lender has checked your credit, employment, and income qualifying you for a loan up to a certain amount.

sHOULD i HAVE A HOME INSPECTION?

Yes! A trusted Home Inspector can identify unseen problems that could be costly down the road. 

What should I offer?

It depends on the market you’re in, the list price, what kind of mortgage you, as the potential home buyer, can afford. There are many other factors that you should weigh before beginning negotiations. If you go to low, then you risk losing the house. This is where having your own agent is important.
